Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (3-4-0=6pts) are out of the basement in the Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey standings and they intend to stay out as they host Acadia University Axemen (3-3-0=6pts) Saturday evening at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.

The Serge Bourgeois coached team is waiting for this return match. Both teams have six points in fifth place and the Axemen defeated the Aigles 7-4 last week in the first game in Wolfville.

''We still have that loss in our head,'' forward Jean-François Plante, who has 8 goals this season, said. ''We are going to have a strong start in the game because we know what happened last week. Our Wednesday evening overtime win has given us the energy needed for another one. We are learning through our systems and the players are getting to know each other better on the ice. Our special units are also producing and playing with heart.''

Coach Serge Bourgeois is looking forward to this game. ''We held two good practices to counter well in this game,'' Bourgeois said. ''This is another important home game for us. We will start strong in front of our spectators because we want to keep climbing in the standings.''

In brief… Brandon Thibeau will be the goaltender… Allain Saulnier is the top point getter for Moncton with 13 assists, in 6 games. He is second in the AUS… Alex Saulnier follows with 12 points on 4 goals and 8 assists, 3rd in the AUS… Jean-François Plante is 4th in the AUS with 8 goals and 3 assists for 11 points… Pierre Durepos, with 1 goal and 5 assists, it the top defencemen.
